For use with your own bridge line. Three-way your 1 hour call into our recording line. We will do preliminary editing (equalization of levels, clean up intro and outro, background noise reduction, division of file into easily downloadable sections).

Additional editing is available at $35/hr. This is to extract extraneous words such as "uh", or loud breaths in the recording, or extraneous noises (such as a dog barking). Please understand that background noises cannot be completely eliminated when they occur while a person is talking; however, they can be eliminated from the silences between speech. We can also mix in music in the intro and outro.

Editing

 

You provide the audio, we make it sound great!

We will even out the sound levels, reduce the noise, remove the "ahs" and "ums" and repeated "you knows", as well any mistakes you make.

1 to 2 person recordings will take 2.5 - 3 times the length of the original recording. So a 20 minute one-person podcast would probably take 1 hour and cost $40.

More than 2 people in the recording will take 3 - 4 times the length of the audio. So a 30 minute recording would take about 1.5 - 2 hours and cost $60 - $80.

Editing is $40/hr. We will provide you with a recording program, if you desire, and teach you how to use it. Then you will forward the audio to us for production, and we will return it to you (or upload it to your site) so you can post it.

Online Community Magazines allows anyone with a desire and an ability to run a local business or online magazine the opportunity to do so.

Our heart's desire is to see those who would not otherwise have the opportunity to own a business prosper and succeed with Online Community Magazines.

You cannot buy an Online Community Magazine with your own money.

We refuse to take personal monies to buy into this business. Why?

We only want to work with people who will be successful at this business. Therefore, in order to "buy in", you must pre-sell $2000 worth of listings in your community to qualify as an Owner. That is the equivalent of 10 - 20 pre-paid listings for either $100/year columns or $200/year tv and radio shows. We provide the marketing materials for you to pre-sell, and afterward, additional training and tools to continue selling.

Then we will know that you are a good match for this business. And just as importantly, you will feel confident that you will prosper with an Online Community Magazine. You will also have a good foundation of content with which to start the Magazine.

The other reason we won't take your money is because we want everyone, regardless of financial situation, to have an opportunity to own a Magazine. In particular, we want to work with:

  • the disabled,
  • single moms or dads struggling to make ends meet, and
  • those who have experienced financial crises due to external circumstances.

We are on a mission to do as much good to as many people as possible, and we want to help you help yourself.


Once you have pre-sold your listings...

We install your magazine on our dedicated servers, ensuring that you have lightning fast speed and sufficient storage and bandwidth for all of the audio's and videos you will host. Your monthly cost for hosting on our dedicated server starts at $60/month. Later, as your site grows, your cost for hosting will grow with it, but by that time, you will have so much business, the cost will still be nominal.


If you are comfortable running the online administrative portion yourself (which is very simple and meant to run automatically for the most part), then you will keep 93% of all of your gross profits, and pay a 7% royalty fee for

  • continual upgrades,
  • marketing materials,
  • access to Owner Forums to discuss issues and tips for continued success, and
  • technical support for you (though not for your customers).

The minimum monthly royalty fee is $100 a month. This is called the Independent License.


If you are not comfortable with computers, and don't have someone to administrate the site for you, you can hire us to run the entire online portion. This includes:

  • handling all customer service for your clients
  • entering all payment information
  • running invoicing reports
  • running commission reports
  • reviewing initial listings for appropriateness
  • continual upgrades
  • marketing materials
  • access to Owner Forums to discuss issues and tips for continued success

You retain 70% of NET profits and we retain royalty fees of 30%. Net profits means gross sales minus up to 20% offline advertising costs, referrals, and your hosting fees (starting at $60). The minimum royalty fee is $250 a month. This is called the Administrative License.

    This class is for Web Professionals who want to offer Podcasting Services to their clients. Although they must learn how to podcast for themselves during the class as part of their homework and final project, students do not need to host their own podcast.

    Successful completion of this class requires:

      • Completion of all homework assignments (you need to set aside 2 to 3 hours per week for this)
      • Completion of Class Project, which is to set up a podcast from the planning stage to posting on directories
      • Mock consultation with client, explaining what podcasting is, and what podcasting can do for a business, and what the estimated investment will be.

    Upon successful completion of the course, graduates will receive:

      • Certification from 1st Podcast Publishing stating that you have successfully completed the Podcast Consulting Program, and are qualified by 1st Podcast Publishing to produce podcasts and offer podcasting services.
      • Posting of your Business and Services on the 1st Podcast Publishing site, with full recommendation by 1st Podcast Publishing for your services.
      • Support for future podcasting questions via email, with possible group classes for continuing education.


    • You receive 7 weeks of training (10+ hours of video), PLUS at least 5 hours more of audio/video training via the homework.

    You receive a data DVD with over 3 gigs of audios, videos, documentation and free software. However, you can still receive your certification by completing the homework and having your final projects reviewed by me.
